About Erin

Erin is an award-winning director, screenwriter, and acting coach with over 15 years of industry experience. Known for directing acclaimed Australian talent, mentoring emerging actors, and creating award-winning screen projects.

I’ve worked across film, television, auditions, and showreels, guiding actors of all levels to unlock authentic, nuanced performances.

I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with some of Australia’s most respected talent, including Leah Purcell, Ashleigh Cummings,
Max Cullen, Shari Sebbens, Susan Prior, Nathaniel Dean, Leanna Walsman, Alex Kis, Charlotte Best, Nicholas Hope, and the late Richard Green, whose memory I respectfully acknowledge.

Working with young actors, from age five and up, is also a key part of my practice. I hold a current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).

As a multi-award-winning creator, I co-wrote, directed, and produced the supernatural comedy Krystal Klairvoyant, and wrote and directed the fantasy noir series Jade of Death.

My work has been recognised through selection in prestigious talent initiatives and project labs Screen Australia’s Talent USA, the Berlinale Project Lab and Talents, and the Screen Forever Director’s Delegation, and shortlisted for the Sundance Episodic Lab and Ryan Murphy’s Half Initiative.

I’m represented by RGM Artists as a director and screenwriter, and create and produce through my company, Example Content.

Coaching Philosophy

Over the years, I have developed a knack for helping actors unlock their unique creative voice and tap into what makes them truly distinctive. Each actor brings their own quirks, charm, and perspective, elements that shape how they learn, grow, and express themselves as artists. I love supporting actors in discovering that individuality and watching how it elevates their work in powerful, authentic ways.

Instructional Design

Before transitioning into the screen industry, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organisational Learning from UTS, where I focused on designing professional development programs, understanding diverse learning styles and adapting to individual needs. This foundation grounds my coaching.

Creative Alignment

As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent, my journey toward self-understanding reshaped how I approach both my work and well-being. Learning to work with my brain, rather than against it, brought clarity, self-acceptance, and a deeper creative freedom.

I now bring that same perspective to coaching. My focus is on building a creative process that’s sustainable, authentic, and aligned with who you are, not who the world tells you you should be.

I believe in working with what’s within your control, and letting go of what’s not. Self-acceptance, autonomy, and embracing your full self aren’t just key to a sustainable career, they unlock authentic and interesting performances. That is the foundation of my coaching.
